Founded in 2001 by Dan, The Bug Man, has been committed to delivering exceptional pest control services at affordable prices. With over 20 years of expertise in the pest control industry, Dan has grown the company into a renowned success. In recognition of his dedication and leadership, Dan was elected President of the Iowa Pest Management Association in 2022, following two years of service as Treasurer.

Family values are at the heart of The Bug Man, Inc. Dan and his wife, Erica, are proud parents of three children, with two of them actively contributing to the family business.

Outside of his professional life, Dan is an avid sports enthusiast. He enjoys playing tennis and baseball, participating in the Men’s Senior Baseball League in Des Moines. Dan also cherishes his morning walks to Starbucks with Erica and their dogs.

Daniel joined The Bug Man, Inc. in 2017 after graduating from Des Moines Lincoln High School. Although he officially started working at 18, Daniel has always been involved in the family business. From filling water jugs for work cars to accompanying his dad on job sites, Daniel’s commitment to the company began at a young age.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys playing video games, spending time with his pet cat, and exploring the outdoors with his girlfriend, Billi. He is also an active member of the Head Turners car club, where he loves modifying his 2012 Camaro SS.

Darian has been assisting with paperwork for The Bug Man, Inc. since her middle school days. Officially joining the team as a pest technician in 2019, Darian brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the family business.

From 2012 to 2014, Darian played basketball at Southwestern Community College before earning her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Drake University in 2016. Currently, she is pursuing her Master’s in Entomology and Nematology with a concentration in Urban Pest Management at the University of Florida. Go Gators!

In her free time, Darian loves spending quality moments with her family. Her son, Teddy, keeps her on her toes and fills her days with joy.

Josh joined The Bug Man, Inc. at the beginning of 2022, embracing the opportunity to contribute to the family business. With a degree in Business Management from Grandview University, which he earned in 2022, Josh brings valuable expertise to the team.

When he’s not focused on pest control, Josh enjoys working on his extensive sports card collection and spending quality time with his dog, Orzo.

Jason joined The Bug Man team in mid-2023, driven by his interest in pest control. Originally from North Carolina and raised in Tennessee, Jason brings a unique background to our team. As a proud former Marine, he has a disciplined and determined approach to every task he undertakes.

In his free time, Jason enjoys immersing himself in the world of gaming and cherishes quality moments with his wife and pets.

Blayze, a Des Moines, IA native, graduated from Southeast Polk and has always been an avid sports enthusiast. Seeking a new career path, Blayze developed a keen interest in pest control and joined The Bug Man, Inc. team.

Blayze’s lifelong love for sports, combined with his passion for fishing and animals, makes him a well-rounded and committed team member.
